The name of the shop reflects its main concept of creating your own island paradise in your home. “Pulau” means “island” in Indonesian. Many of the tableware and other items are imported from Bali. Japanese ceramics such as Kiyomizu-yaki and Arita-yaki are also featured.

The shop is popular among cafés and other stores for shop decorations and tableware. You can find tasteful tableware and goods that are not so high-end that you can’t afford them, but that you can’t find in mass merchandisers.

The store has a wide variety of sundries with frog motifs. These are lucky charms for safe return, as the terms for “return” and “frog” are homonyms in Japanese.
