Founded in 1862, this bean specialty shop sells black-soya and azuki beans produced in Tanba, Kyoto. Looking around the store, you will find that it is full of beans. Fresh beans, cooked beans, black soya bean tea, and black soya bean sweets. All products are made by this bean specialty store’s carefully chosen ingredients. There is a café on the second floor.

“We use carefully selected Tanba black soya beans such as "Shin Tanba Kuro" produced in Tanba, Kyoto for our roasted black soya beans, black soya bean somen noodles, black soya bean pancakes, black soya bean kinako, black soya bean arare crunchy snacks, etc. We value the flavors of the best ingredients,” they say.

You can experience grinding black soybeans into kinako soybean flour using a stone mortar and eating warabi-mochi rice cakes with the freshly ground kinako.
They sell black soybeans, soybeans, and azuki beans by weight. In the fall, they carry black soybean edamame.
